
Eric Ravilious
Eric William Ravilious was a painter, engraver, designer, illustrator and WWII pilot which sadly contributed to his untimely death over Iceland in 1942.
In 1919 Ravilious won a scholarship to Eastbourne School of Art and prior to his death he still resided in East Sussex.
Commissioned as a War Artist, Ravilious numerous pieces documented war machines and battles but his best loved pieces are of the landscapes in both Sussex and Wiltshire.
